This time on our Education Evening we have Mikaela Persson, the artist behind love.endo, giving a lecture on endometriosis*. She will be sharing her own story with the condition and how she got diagnosed, as well as speak about sex and endometriosis and endometriosis awareness in society.
“I create art to make people talk about the illness and also as a way of spreading happiness. I love talking about endometriosis and especially sex and endometriosis. Many people with endometriosis find sex to be tough due to pain and as we all know sex is taboo, which is probably why I love talking about it”, says Persson. Although it affects many, not a lot of people know about endometriosis. This is the perfect chance to broaden your knowledge and awareness!

*A brief introduction of endometriosis: it is s a condition in which cells similar to those in the endometrium, the layer of tissue that normally covers the inside of the uterus, grow outside of it. The main symptoms are pelvic pain and infertility. It is estimated that 6–10% of people with a vagina are affected.
